The successful implementation of the XSystem 2007

The enrolment period for 2nd semester 2007-2008 is about to end tomorrow. Around 300 students from the Institute of ICT had undergone the pilot implementation of the XSystem 2007, an ASP.Net web application that automates the registration, assessment, and database management of student records. The system is also powered by ASP.Net AJAX web extensions and was now uploaded to the PSU Eastern Cluster co-colocated server which is currently hosting the PSU Official Website running on a Windows Server 2003 Application Server.
These ICT students can now access their individual Student Portals where they can view their Permanent Records and Assessment Ledgers. All they have to do is to personally get their login accounts to the XSystem Administrator to enable them to login to their portals for the first time then they can immediately change their passwords in the Change Password section once they are logged in. Parents who are also interested in the academic standings of their children can make a request to the XSystem Administrator to get their sons’/daughters’ login accounts and they will be able to see the academic and financial information of their children through the internet. This is surely a bad news to some students out there, nothing to hide from their parents this time, no more lies especially when talking about your fees.
The successful implementation of the XSystem 2007 will surely serve as a turning point for more improvements in the university and hopefully marks the importance of the proper utilization of the university’s ICT resources and manpower. This is just one of the home-grown programs that the MIS Department and the Institute of ICT offers and I hope that the university will give it the support and attention it really deserves.

But first of all, I would like to introduce myself. I am Mario U. Malferrari Jr., from STI College - Cagayan de Oro City, currently taking-up MSIT in the said college.
One of my proposals for the Technical Research is about a “Paper-less” Enrollment System. And I am really interested to study your system, “XSystem 2007″.
In this connection, I would like to know if you can share or rather help me pursue my studies by giving some time, like a feedback, to what really the System can do(features), what database server used, and the process of enrollment with the usage of the system(what/which part of the enrollment system is involved).
Hoped I can go in dept to your system.
