Looking Back at its Illustrious Past and Moving Forward to a more Grandiose Future
Mankind has always been aware of the importance of history. Looking back at how something came into being is a natural interest for each and everyone of us. It
is not just mere interest on the stories of the past but we are often touched by the lessons it bring and how these lessons guide us in facing the present and the future.
The past brings not only good things but sad things as well. It is up to us to learn forgetting the mistakes of the past and remembering the good things done. The good deeds a person made in the past is what makes his life seems forever living in the hearts of those whom
he touched during his physical existence.
VMUF started in a humble beginning steered by the vision of a philanthropic man, Dr. Martin Posadas. His dedication to serve the people was enough to build a huge reputable institution molded within 50 years. The good result was very obvious and the realization of
Dr. Martin’s vision was indeed achieved. VMUF is now one of the well known institutional leaders excelling in almost all fields of endeavors from medicine to engineering and even computer technology.
Virgen Milagrosa University graduates prove themselves pioneers and leaders in their respective careers and professional lines. They are the concrete evidence of what VMUF is contributing not only for the local community where it resides but of course across different countries where some of its clients are coming from.
The past 50 years were clearly golden years for VMUF as it continuously improve and increase its services in terms of service, research, and extension. Much mistakes may have been also committed along these years, but these things were already noted and has been taken good care of to make sure that these will not happened again in the future.
As long as the dedication and sincerity of the administrators with the honest and self-less support of its constituents will be maintained, VMUF will have a more grandiose future ahead. Quality education is a primary concern that should be taken into priority. Quality can be achieved only if the pool of qualified and top caliber faculty members and instructors will be maintained in the university. It is just right to cut off a branch that produces no good fruits at all in a same manner as to remove faculty members who are
incompetent and lacks dedication to learn because it is the only way to keep the quality of education that the university provide to the its students. Non-teaching personnels as well must prove themselves productive and service-oriented.
With all the good things maintained and even improved further and from learning everything that had happened and achieved within these 50 significant years, the journey to the a more grandiose future will surely become a reality.
Will VMUF be still existing after another 50 years? Hope to see you there, in the time where this grandiose future I am talking about will be seen. Keep the flame alive! Long live VMUF!
